The CEO of EchoHouse Africa, Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba has encouraged members of the United Nation’s Population Fund (UNFPA) Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship Programme to harness their creativity to drive change in their communities.
Beryl shared this while engaging with the members of the fifth Cohort 5 of the UNFPA YoLe fellowship programme, last Friday at the UNFPA Ghana office.
The UNFPA extended the invitation to Beryl, recognizing her as a high-achieving personality and top Marketing Executive, as well as her potential to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders.
Using her own story as an example, Beryl emphasised how creativity has been the foundation of the growth of EchoHouse Africa and the impact the African 360° marketing agency is driving in various African countries.
She highlighted Project Find, a talent search vehicle deployed by EchoHouse Africa to identify talented and creative young Africans in various tertiary institutions. Another example was The Echo Academy which is playing a key role in grooming the next generation of creative advertising leaders.
Beryl also mentioned the She Unit initiative championed by EchoHouse to create more spaces for women in the marketing and advertising field in Ghana and other African countries.
“Creativity unlocks endless possibilities for driving meaningful change in our communities. It helps us find solutions to even the most complex challenges,” she said.
Adding, “Each idea, no matter how small, holds the potential to ignite a transformative ripple effect of impact within our communities.”
With a proven track record of empowering young people and driving positive change, Beryl’s collaboration with the UNFPA YoLe Fellowship Programme reaffirmed a shared vision for a future where every young person is empowered to realise their full potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
The UNFPA Youth Leaders Fellowship Programme is a transformative initiative aimed at nurturing the potential of young people in Ghana. As the country progresses towards achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the role of youth empowerment has become increasingly vital. The UNFPA has recognized the pivotal role that young people play as Right-Holders, Agents of Change, and Torchbearers in shaping a sustainable future.
Since its inception in 2018, the Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship Programme has been instrumental in equipping young Ghanaians with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive innovation and leadership within their communities.
These fellows, who were drawn from diverse backgrounds and constituencies, undergo professional training aimed at fostering essential qualities for effective leadership.
As the UNFPA Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship continues to inspire and empower young leaders, collaborations with esteemed individuals such as Beryl Agyekum Ayaaba serve as a drive for progress and transformation that leads to creating a community that can come together to build a brighter and more sustainable future for generations to come.
