No wonder, I will cherish the time and memories of working with Echo House all throughout my life. A new country, a new culture, new people! I didn’t even know if I would be a fit at all!
But thanks to the wonderful people who made my tenure so amazing. Their smiling faces, friendly approach and joyful nature, made my stay in Ghana such a blessed experience.
Talking about the work culture here, must say, the energy is super high and the excitement is truly infectious. Laughing, dancing, cracking jokes on each other, work never felt like work. It was so much fun and enriching to learn a new way of working, unlike the MNC culture that I am used to.
In this short tenure, I am lucky to have got the opportunity to work on one of the Ghana’s most special events, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Here, for the first time I saw how the entire Echo House got together to do a pre-event campaign, live event coverage and post-event engagements. We so truly showed up like Echo.
And at the pinnacle of all this is our great lady, Beryl. Dynamic and the most loved soul in the entire office who perfectly knows how to keep work enjoyable. Always smiling and at the top of things. She never failed to amaze me how she managed to do so much and with a smile.
Though very briefly I got to work with Jason. But every session with him, is power-packed. There is so much to learn from him. Every discussion with him, opens new avenues, finds insights, and most importantly simplifies the approach.
And another amazing person is Mawuli. He has been an absolute sweetheart. It’s truly inspiring to see how calmly he handles every situation. Whatever and how big the problem is, he knows how to deal with it.
Karl, Lord, Louiza, Youu, Derrick, Henry, Elvin, Kwame, Charles, Benua, Dzifa, Esi and every one of you whose names aren’t mentioned, please know I love you all and you all will be treasured forever. ‘Just continue being awesome!’. I’m grateful to be associated with all you lovely people. You all will be missed immensely.
And as I head back to India, I take with me the lessons learnt, friendships formed and the memories made. Goodbye and best wishes to all of you.
