When A Brand Creates The Street Everyone Wants To Be On: How Orange Sundown Avenue Became A Platform For Urban Culture

Some events are built around a stage, but the most powerful cultural experiences transform an entire space into a world people want to step into. On November 23, 2025, EchoHouse and Orange took over Randall Street in Monrovia to deliver the fourth edition of Orange Sundown Avenue—transforming an iconic route into a high-energy block party that merged music, entrepreneurship, and nightlife.

Client & Challenge Orange and EchoHouse needed to deliver an experience capable of bringing together thousands of young people while creating meaningful opportunities for entertainment, entrepreneurship, brand engagement, and community participation. The challenge was not simply to organize another event, but to make Sundown Avenue work on multiple levels: it had to feel like a party, function like a marketplace, create room for families, and seamlessly integrate Orange into the fabric of the experience.

Audience Insight Youth culture is not monolithic. One attendee might come for the music, another for the food, someone else to sell their goods, and families to bring their children. The audience consisted of around 4,000 young people aged 17 to 35, alongside "original Sundowners," newer attendees, and younger "Mini Sundowners." Recognizing this diversity, the insight was clear: instead of designing for one type of attendee, the experience needed to create multiple ways to belong.

Strategy & Creative Idea The strategy was to turn Randall Street into a living expression of urban culture rather than a single attraction. The creative idea was to build "a street full of possibilities." Music provided the energy, a bustling vendor market created economic opportunity, and dedicated zones gave different audiences their own reasons to participate. This included a vibrant kids' playground zone with activities and cotton candy, as well as an Orange Celebrity Cook-Off that extended the entertainment beyond the main stage.

Channels & Execution EchoHouse managed the full ecosystem of the event, ensuring it functioned as a meeting point between culture and commerce:

On-Ground Activation: A massive urban block-party experience featuring a curated vendor marketplace and a dedicated kids' zone.

Entertainment & Talent: Stage programming hosted by MC Cypha D’King, featuring live performances from Teddy Ride, DJ American, Coco Hause, Big Baby, ComCruz, Spesh D DJ, DJ Redfone, and King Dennis.

Commerce & Brand Integration: Seamless Orange sponsorship integration, highlighted by the Orange Celebrity Cook-Off and the coordination of cashless payments via Orange Money.

Operations & Safety: End-to-end management covering security, crowd control, vendor recruitment, event-day operations, and digital content production.

Markets Covered The campaign was highly localized, taking place on Randall Street in Monrovia, Liberia.

**Measurable Outcomes

Engagement & Sales:** The event successfully attracted approximately 4,000 attendees and hosted 58 vendors. The marketplace experienced significant demand throughout the night, with 92% of vendors reporting that they completely sold out of their goods.

EchoHouse Capabilities Involved The project required a massive operational lift, highlighting EchoHouse's capabilities in Cultural & Experiential Strategy, Creative Direction, Full Event Production, Sponsorship Integration, Vendor Marketplace Management, Talent Programming, Cashless Payment Coordination, Security & Crisis Management, and Event Analytics.

The strongest cultural platforms do not simply attract an audience; they create an environment where the audience generates the energy. By bringing together music, food, entrepreneurship, and family experiences into one dynamic space, EchoHouse and Orange proved that true cultural relevance isn't about owning the conversation—it is about building the street where everyone wants to have one.
